1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the HalalWallet website and related services (collectively, the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Site. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Site.

2. About HalalWallet

HalalWallet USA LLC (“HalalWallet,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates an informational platform designed to help users explore and compare Shariah-compliant financial products in Pakistan. We are not a financial institution, broker, or lender. We do not provide financial, legal, or investment advice and do not guarantee product approval or outcomes.

3. Eligibility

The Site is intended for use by individuals 18 years or older residing in Pakistan. By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

4. Prohibited Uses

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You expressly agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any manner that violates applicable federal, state, or local laws or regulations.
  • Impersonate HalalWallet, its employees, or any third party.
  • Interfere with or disrupt Site operations, servers, or networks connected to the Site.
  • Use any automated means — including bots, spiders, crawlers, scrapers, data-mining tools, or any other automated device, program, script, algorithm, or methodology — to access, copy, index, scrape, mine, republish, or monitor any portion of the Site or its content without our prior written consent.
  • Systematically download, store, or redistribute our product comparisons, ratings, provider data, editorial content, or any proprietary datasets, whether manually or through automated means.
  • Frame, mirror, or create derivative works based on any portion of the Site without express written permission.
  • Attempt to circumvent any technological protection measures we employ to protect our content, including but not limited to disabling JavaScript protections, CAPTCHA systems, or rate limiting.
  • Use the Site to build a competing product or service, or to compile data for use by any third party without our prior written consent.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any software or code used in connection with the Site.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All content on the Site — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, product comparisons, data compilations, ratings, reviews, editorial content, software, and the overall design and “look and feel” of the Site — is the exclusive property of HalalWallet USA LLC or its licensors and is protected by Pakistan and international copyright, trademark, trade dress, and other intellectual property laws.

The HalalWallet name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of HalalWallet USA LLC. You may not use such marks without our prior written permission.

a. Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes only. This license does not include the right to:

  • Reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or publicly perform any Site content;
  • Modify or create derivative works of the Site or any content;
  • Use any data mining, robots, or similar data gathering methods;
  • Download (other than page caching) any portion of the Site;
  • Use the Site or its content for any commercial purpose.

b. Data Compilation Rights

Our product comparison databases, provider ratings, editorial assessments, and curated financial data represent significant investments of time, effort, and resources. These compilations are protected as original works under U.S. copyright law (17 U.S.C. § 103) and as trade secrets under applicable state law. Unauthorized extraction, reproduction, or reuse of our data compilations — even if individual facts are not copyrightable — violates these Terms and applicable law.

6. DMCA and Copyright Infringement

HalalWallet respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. We will respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) and applicable law.

HalalWallet may include links to third-party financial institutions, service providers, or other websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites. Some links may be affiliate links, meaning HalalWallet may receive compensation if you click or complete an application. This compensation does not affect product ranking or reviews.

8. No Financial Advice

All Site content is provided for informational and educational purposes only. HalalWallet does not offer financial, legal, or investment advice. You are solely responsible for evaluating any product, service, or institution before making decisions and should consult a qualified professional as appropriate.

9. Disclaimers

  • The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.”
  • HalalWallet makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the Site, its content, or third-party products featured on it.
  • We do not guarantee that:
    • The Site will always be available or error-free.
    • The information is complete, accurate, or up-to-date.
    • Any third-party product or offer will meet your expectations or eligibility.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HalalWallet and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from:

  • Your use of or inability to use the Site;
  • Any reliance on Site information;
  • Any interaction with third-party financial institutions.

In no event shall HalalWallet’s total liability exceed $100 USD.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HalalWallet and its affiliates, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Site, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any intellectual property or other rights.

12. Enforcement and Remedies

Any violation of these Terms — including unauthorized scraping, data mining, reproduction, or distribution of our content — may result in:

  • Immediate termination of your access to the Site without notice;
  • Civil action for damages, including statutory damages under the DMCA and the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA);
  • Injunctive relief to prevent further violations;
  • Recovery of attorneys’ fees and costs incurred in enforcing these Terms;
  • Referral to law enforcement authorities where appropriate.

HalalWallet actively monitors for unauthorized use of its content and data. We maintain technical measures and legal tools to detect and pursue violations.

13. Updates and Modifications

We may modify or update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on this page. The “Effective Date” above indicates the latest revision. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Termination

HalalWallet may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
